January 12 (Saturday) - PAPER PIECING - free workshop
WHERE: North Side Baptist Church Fellowship Hall
FEE: FREE - Who doesn't like free?
We are holding a special workshop on Saturday to work on the blocks for the next Raffle Quilt.
As Rex explained at the November meeting, this will be a Storm at Sea pattern which is made using log cabin blocks, and the blocks will be paper-pieced. Rex has put together kits containing precut fabric, instructions and foundation papers so all we have to do is piece the blocks!
Everyone is invited and encouraged to come whether you are experienced or have never done it, but would like to try.
We will be there to help get you started and answer your questions so please come and make a few blocks for this awesome quilt.
Just bring a sack lunch, your machine, thread, a small cutting mat and cutter, small ruler for trimming seams, small ironing surface and iron.
Everything is small in paper-piecing! We will have community pressing and cutting surfaces, but there is pressing and trimming with every seam so having your own will be more convenient, or sharing with others at a table.
Hope to see you there!
