​EXCITING OPPORTUNITY!
​BEGINNERS PIECING CLASS
 
Want to learn to piece quilt tops? Want to hone your basic quilting skills? The Quilter’s Guild of Parker County is excited to announce a Beginners Piecing Class, a 6-week session class beginning Saturday, February 8 from 10-12 held at Couts United Methodist Church 802 Elm Street, Weatherford.  
​As you make your quilt, you will learn how to:
  • choose fabric for quilting
  • read a quilt pattern
  • accurately measure and safely cut fabric
  • sew accurate ¼inch seams
  • assemble your quilt top
  • make a quilt sandwich in preparation for quilting
  • square up your quilt
  • bind your quilt
The class is free and the quilt pattern will be provided to all participants. As this is a machine piecing class, access to a working sewing machine is required. Several of the guild members have volunteered to quilt this top for class participants.
